Digital building plan service

Buildings just a click away with Buildings on a disc

"Buildings on a disc" is a service to digitize and index papers, drawings, plans, specs, and O&M manuals.  The information is then saved onto a CD-ROM for instant reference from a computer desktop.

Accurate drawings and technical manual information for buildings are crucial to an effective Facilities Management System. Yet, in a paper-driven environment, the information used to operate and maintain a facility comes from many sources, and may take many frustrating hours to locate.

The time involved to identify, locate and retrieve this information is counterproductive. What if the search for your plans could be completed in seconds using your personal computer? Exit Frustration, Enter Buildings on a Disc.

Easy to use

Within seconds, view and print drawings and documents burned onto disc using easy indexes, cross-references and hyperlinks just like the internet.

Why put documents on a disc?

Digitized images can be retrieved in seconds for review and can be incorporated into presentations, reports, surveys, manuals, or virtually any other type of written or electronically transmitted work. Archiving all of your documents onto one disc helps insure against loss from fire, water damage, vandalism or theft. Additional copies are free.

No need for additional hardware or software

Because Buildings on a Disc uses self-contained programs on a disc with no installation required, the system runs on any existing computer. Typical architectural, engineering, and technical drawings can be plotted to scale from a standard printer.

Savings

  • Typically thirty minutes of non-productive search for documents can be saved every time a disc is used.
  • Electronic versions of plans or data can be used in place of paper thus eliminating a significant amount of printing and mailing costs.
  • E-mail is a quick and easy way to send digitized documents from one person to another, saving you the time and cost it would take to mail it regularly.
  • Documents are always organized in a standard method that is easy to access.
  • The system reduces or eliminates clients from having to pay for outside reproduction.
  • Everyone with a copy of the disc is working with the same current, reliable information, eliminating any confusion.
