Gov. Chris Gregoire recently signed procurement reform legislation Adobe Icon. The law is designed to make the procurement process more transparent, competitive and efficient. It consolidates procurement laws under the Department of Enterprise Services.

The department is working with customer agencies, vendors and other interested parties to develop new procurement guidelines, policies and rules. Enterprise Services will issue the new policies and rules in fall 2012. The changes take effect Jan. 1, 2013.

    • Finalize and adopt rules and policies

  • Reforms take effect: January 1, 2013
