Seattle Area Backfill Opportunities
Approximately 300,000 square feet of space that is currently leased by the University of Washington throughout the Puget Sound area is expected to be vacated beginning January, 2008.
 

The University recently acquired the UW Tower (formerly known as the "Safeco" building), and surrounding properties. The close proximity of the UW Tower to the Seattle campus will allow for co-location and consolidation of UW programs and departments, including those that are currently housed in leased space. Therefore the University would like to provide other public-sector tenants the benefits of favorable, pre-negotiated rates, and in some cases furniture, that can be provided through this backfill opportunity. These leases are primarily located in north Seattle, the Fremont area, and downtown Seattle.
