Washington’s Website for Promoting Sustainable Business Practices |
Helping our customers succeed by creating a strong economy, efficient government and a healthy environment.
Sustainable principles and practices are part of agency operations, as well as what we offer our customers. Gov. Gary Locke first signed an Executive Order on sustainability in September 2002, directing all state agencies to adopt sustainable practices. Locke issued a new, enhanced sustainability order in January 2005, superseding previous versions. Throughout the new executive order, the Governor pointed to General Administration as a place to find the means for achieving sustainability goals.
The site gives customers a quick link to the many products and services we offer that contribute to the long-term protection and enhancement of the state’s environment, economy and quality of life.
